Director Statement
Mancacioasa is a very personal found footage student film that explores the psychological effects of “Fat Shaming”. This piece is a poetic representation of someone’s inner thoughts who has been struggling with obesity all her life. It represents everything that goes through someone’s mind when thinking about this topic. “Mancacioasa” is a word in Romanian that is used as a loving was of saying a child likes to eat.
